    June 27, 2010

And Farzal takes the stage with Help me. Starts with his personal introduction as a technologist and an entrepreneur The product is help and support desk for mobile apps, web products, and product verification services Nice simple pitch with a simple product presentation and a clean flash presentation.

Launch Pad – Telecom Clicking GE

    June 27, 2010

Radio Frequency Engineers tool that makes up for easy comparisons of RF parameters across planned cellular antenna sites. Focused technical presentation, that does a good job of identifying the customer’s pain and the product role in addressing that pain. Integrating Google Earth and MapInfo for RF Engineers.

    LaunchPad – Pakipay

    June 27, 2010

A mobile based payment platform. In Beta stage. Blows the first question by stating that no SBP permission is required to start a payment processing business.

    LaunchPad – ShahzebSaeed.com

    June 27, 2010

http://www.shahzebsaeed.com The best start of a presentation so far. What a pitch. Nothing works like a product demo. Finest shirts in town. No retail presence. Launched at the IBA Alumni Dinner. Made 60 shirts, sold 30 of them. Great questions. Sold shirts through Facebook. Lives on referrals. Finally a winner.

    LaunchPad – FyDest

    June 27, 2010

Find your destination. Not a GPS. Add fastest and easiest path with added information about traffic jams and other possible time delays. Great starting slide cover, bad background for the rest of the presentation.

    LaunchPad – Global Learning

    June 27, 2010

Great stage presence but blows the power point start. No eye contact. Too much sugar or too little rehearsals. Decent screen shots but too late to recover from earlier mis-steps. No eye contact throughout the presentation.

    Launch Pad – Dhaaba

    June 27, 2010

Finally something to do with Food. Restaurant.com, KhaoPiyo.com. Starts with customer pain and goes into market sizing Karachi. Decent pitch format and presentation but still doesn’t answer the core question. How do you seed the network?

    Launch Pad – Wi Track

    June 27, 2010

A GSM/GPRS based personal tracking system. Jumps into technospeak much too early in the presentation Good rationale for using the technological platform. Could have done a better job using visuals. So there is an application.

    Launch Pad – Reflex 360

    June 27, 2010

60 seconds gone and we still don’t know what Reflex 360. 2 minutes gone and we still don’t know what Reflex 360 does. Finally we will get to hear what is the product about. Maybe. Nope. 5 minutes of generalized statements about how sorry a job we are doing on the research front.
