The Corporate Finance online e-learning portal has turned some surprising results recently. The daily traffic rate at the portal is now touching close to 4,000 unique visitors a month and last night we broke the 200 unique visitors a day barrier. Page views are similarly heading towards the 8,000 page views a month number. The recent spike in July and August has been partly due to the fairly generous reviews by TechLahore, Lootmaar and Jehan Ara and partly due to the MS Bing webmaster tweaks that have now started doing a decent number of impressions and clicks.

On a month on month basis we have already crossed 3/4th of the traffic in June within the first 10 days of August and are beyond the half way mark for July within the same time frame. My only worry and problem is the absence of repeat traffic – which has not been an issue for the Startup blog as well as the Desi Back to Desh blog but is becoming somewhat of a concern for the Corporate Finance e-learning
Adsense revenues are also growing nicely. Even though the monthly figure is still meaningless but if I can sustain the average monthly growth, the site would be at breakeven in about a month or so. Which means that I would no longer have to worry about hosting charges.
And if you look athe most recent month of data and compare it to the last 5 month site average, the average Adsense revenue per 1000 visits has gone by about 50% indicating that at the current traffic rates we may be able to break 10 dollars a month in advertising revenues, sooner rather than later.
From a traffic generation point of view, the largest group of customers comes from the US, then home ground, then India, UK, Canada, Singapore and Australia. The 138 countries and 1500 cities metric is also just as impressive for a part time pet project.
All in all all properties across the Alchemy domain are now generating about 6,000 unique visitors and about 12,000 page views a month. I have a feeling that August, by the grace of God, will be the break through month for us.
